I was just hanging out with T.I. last Wednesday for his Red Carpet Premiere of "Takers" and am disappointed to report both he & Tiny were arrested last night in L.A. See story below:

-- A form of codeine falls under the class of drugs for which T.I. and his wife, Tameka "Tiny" Cottle, were arrested.

-- Codeine is the main ingredient in Sizzurp, which is a growing problem in the South.

-- Sizzurp is typically ingested in styrofoam cups ... it's become a "thing" in the hip-hop community.

Cops won't say specifically which drug they found, though our sources say it's the class of drugs that does indeed include the main ingredient for Sizzurp.

Both T.I. and "Tiny" were booked on felony possession of a controlled substance.

Los Angeles, California (CNN) -- Police arrested rapper T.I. and his wife in California after they were allegedly found in possession of a controlled substance.

The couple was arrested late Wednesday during a traffic stop in Los Angeles, according to a police report.

During the stop, police said, they smelled an odor of marijuana coming from their car.

T.I. was released after serving nine months in prison and three months in a halfway house.

"Well, I'm just ready to put the bad things behind me and look forward to the future and, you know, just move forward and evolve -- continue to evolve," he told CNN's Larry King this year.

T.I. and his wife, Tameka Dianne Cottle, were held on $10,000 bail.

ATLANTA -- A 4-year-old child may now have a sexually transmitted disease because of a used condom he found in an Atlanta hotel room.

*The baby rumors surrounding Mariah Carey are picking up more steam than usual with new reports that she is four months pregnant and spotted in a maternity dress.

Although Cannon dodged the question yesterday (Aug. 24) on his radio show, Radar Online says it has a source who "confirmed" that Mariah, 40, and Nick Cannon, 29, are expecting their first child.

Fueling the fire is the above paparazzi pic of Carey from last week wearing a Spaghetti Strap Halter Maternity Maxi Dress ($140) from maternity store A Pea In the Pod.

According to Radar Online, Nick has been sharing the news with close friends only.

"Mariah has tried so hard to get pregnant," a source told the website, adding that the singer has no plans to announce her pregnancy in the near future. "She's very excited. She wants to wait as close to full term as possible before going public with the news to her fans."

*Fantasia Barrino has confirmed that her hospitalization two weeks ago after overdosing on aspirin and a sleep aid was a deliberate attempt to commit suicide.

"I didn't have any fight in me. I didn't care about anything. I just wanted out," the singer tells VH1 in a new "Behind the Music" interview, airing 9 p.m. ET/PT Tuesday, the same day her new album, "Back to Me," is released. "At that moment, I wanted out. I wanted it to be over with - all of it, all of that [expletive]."

She continues: "I just sat in the closet and looked at the mirror and took all the pills in the bottle. I wanted to go to sleep and just be at peace. I knew exactly what I was doing. You can't accidentally take a whole bottle of pills."

Barrino's manager, Brian Dickens, recalls finding her lying on the floor in her room. "Her emotions were extremely low," he says. "She'd been crying all day. Fantasia was just numb. Fantasia texted me, saying 'I love you.' I wrote back, 'I love you more.' Then it hit me."

"I wrote, 'You better not do anything or think about doing anything stupid.' And I left it at that. About 10 minutes later, Fantasia texted me back, and she said, 'Already did.' I went into Fantasia's room and saw her on the floor, and my heart just dropped."

Fantasia said the stress of her current life experiences became too much to bear.

"I was tired of people doing me wrong, constantly, over and over again, dealing with my family - my father, dealing with men and their [expletive] - I was tired," she says. "My head was hurting me. I was over it."

To complicate matters even more, Barrino is now being threatened with a lawsuit by Paula Cook, the wife of Antwaun Cook, with whom Fantasia had been having an affair.

"When I met him, he was separated ... wasn't living in his home. He didn't want to be back with his wife - that is what I was told," Barrino says. "I remember waking up in the hospital [and thinking], 'It didn't work, I'm still here in this hellhole. Still here with all this drama going on.'"

Ultimately, the singer says the saving grace was her nurse. "My nurse Melanie was a blessing into my life because she didn't tell me what I wanted to hear," she says. "She told me what I needed to hear. And she looked at me and said, 'You gotta get up, and you've gotta get out of here, 'cause you haven't fulfilled your destiny.'"

"I realized how people end up in the grave. Because that one moment [snaps her fingers] of just breaking or feeling like I can't, I can't go on, it's too heavy. That was somewhere I don't ever want to go again."
