107-3 JAMZ and BI-LO presents the 6th Annual 107-3 JAMZ BI-LO Upstate Family Reunion, August 1st, 11am at Heritage Park in Simpsonville. Our family is growing so this year we are moving to a bigger location with more rides, more fun, and longer hours. It's bigger and better than ever! Celebrating African American lifestyles from Anderson, Spartanburg, Greenville and surrounding areas. The festival will kickoff with daylong cultural events, enduring strengths, and traditional values of the African American family.

This family-friendly event is free to the public. Bring the children out for a fun-filled day with the 107-3 JAMZ air assault, music vault, food, kids zone play area, international arts, crafts, and the vendors market.

6th Annual 107-3 JAMZ BI-LO Upstate Family Reunion BBQ Cook-Off is happening Saturday, August 1st at Heritage Park Amphitheater in Simpsonville. One lucky winner will win up to $1,000!

Family Reunion T-Shirts

You can come Friday afternoon to set up your grilling area
You can come as early as 8am on Saturday, just come to the back entrance!
You can drive up, unload & then park. The parking area is adjacent to the Grill Zone.
You can set up your tent in the Grill Zone.
You can set up your tent by your grill or where ever you please, as long as it is in the Grill Zone.
Vehicles with large grills will be allowed.
Grilling is allowed at the location of tents.
Overnight campers can set up tents and grill in the camping area.
Grillers can set up grills in the grill zone.
You can leave your tents etc. overnight but Heritage Park and 107-3 JAMZ are not responsible for unattended items.
If you put up a tent on Friday and return on Saturday you will have to pay to park on Saturday.

Alcoholic drinks are not allowed in the park except in the amphitheatre where it will be sold and may be consumed.
There was no alcohol permitted at Lakeside Park.

6th Annual 107-3 JAMZ / BILO Upstate Family Reunion at Heritage Park FAQ

“Can we still camp out over night like we did at Lakeside?”
Yes. There is a designated camping area in the field directly across from the Heritage Park Amphitheater. Overnight camping is limited to 50 spaces available on a first-come first-served basis, starting at 8:00am and ending at 2:00pm on Friday, July 31. There is a $5 charge. Campers need to enter from the back entrance.

“Can we bring outside food & drink?”
Yes, however no alcoholic beverages are allowed in Heritage Park. Beer and wine will be available for purchase and consumption inside the amphitheater fences.

“How can I get a Vendor Booth?”
The Cut-off for reserving a Family Reunion/Back To School Vendor Booth is COB July 28, 2009.

"How much do the rides cost/Will we be able to buy Wrist Bands?"
All attractions in the McDonald’s Children’s Play area are free. Mechanical rides require tickets. In addition, $15 ride-all-day tickets will be sold on Friday and Saturday until 5 p.m. for use until 6 p.m. on Saturday.

"How will the seating work?"
Bring your own seating for the park and picnicking. There are 4,000 permanent cushioned seats in the Amphitheater plus grass space to accommodate an additional 12,000. Folding chairs and blankets, but no tents, are allowed inside the amphitheater area.

"What time are the artists performing?"
Artists will perform continuously during the 6th Annual 107-3 JAMZ / BI-LO Upstate Family Reunion. Exact times will be announced on-air and posted at www.1073jamz.com when they are final.

"What time does everything start?"
Hours are 3pm-11pm on Friday July 31 and from 11am-11pm on Saturday August 1.

"How will the parking situation work?"
There is plenty of parking for $5 per vehicle.

"Can we bring our RVs? "
Yes. RV’s can park in the designated camping field right across from the Heritage Park Amphitheater.

"Can we grill, set up tents, and play music under our own tents?"
Yes. We have a designated Grill Zone. The Grill Zone will accommodate almost 400 grills. Tents can go up on grassy areas. Grilling can be done only in the Grill Zone. You can play music in your own area. If you have loud amplified music we may need to direct you to an area where it does not affect others. Directions and information is listed here.

"Are you providing shuttle service?" Yes. Bethlehem Baptist Church and Valley Brook Outreach Baptist Church will provide shuttle service throughout the day.

NOTICE The dumping of charcoal embers or cooking oils on the ground at Heritage Park is prohibited. Containers will be provided in a designated area for the dumping of charcoal and oil. These areas will be marked for your convenience. Thank you for assisting the City of Simpsonville in keeping Heritage Park a pleasant place to visit. Please enjoy your visit.

What's the earlies that we can come in?
If you're camping out & staying over, you can come Friday afternoon. If you're coming in Saturday, U can come as early as 8am, just come to the back entrance!

Grilling is allowed at the location of tents. Alcoholic drinks are not allowed allowed in the park exceceptin the amphitheatre where it will be sold and may be consumed. BTW-No alcohol was allowed at any previous event.

Grilling Area
Will tents and grills from Fridays event be able to to left in place for return to same spot on Saturday? Can spots be reserved in the grill zone/tent area from 8a-2p on Friday(roped off)as before at Lakeside. Will vehichles that are allowed in the area with large grills have access to leave at anytime or will festivities have to be over for cars to to have access in and out? Is the Grill Zone and the tent (grass area)the same places.Question 10 answer states grilling only in grill zone but then it is later stated that you can grill at your tents?Will the grill zone accomadate 400 for those who use the zone and not their tent locations if grilling is allowed in both settings? There are vendors that pay alot of money to set up to sell their product, so bring money to spend with them. Parents give your kids money. After all it is a FREE event. So tell all your friends to meet you there and leave the drama at home.

I went down to the park on last Sunday, It is a nice large park lots &lots of room.People lets step & make this change & LET GOD handle the rest.PRAY with me, they can`t take our joy unless we give it to them(police)We know who is in charge, Amen Amen. There's a lot of unanswered question about the move and the setting.On the other hand will alcohol be allowed if so people watch out for MAULDIN AND SIMPSONVILLE BAD BOY'S B/C THEY WILL BE WAITING. THEY DO NOT PLAY!!!!
