TJ Swann was born in Harlem, NY. Swann has been in the DJ business for 36 years. Something you might not know about him is that he is one of the first mixing pioneers on the turntables. Swann's style of mixing and flow has inspired countless amounts of DJ's. There are countless amounts of clubs that TJ has worked for over the years. Some of which are the original Studio 54 (NY), Bentleys (NY), Broadway International (NY), The Collibron, Nell Gwen's, and the list goes on.

In the early 70's TJ was given the opportunity to do parties for the #1 station at that time 107.5 WBLS. The man who brought him in was the one and only Mr. Frankie Crocker. Swann would later go on to do mix shows and play for the top artist in the business.

TJ has received numerous awards from various organizations which include Warner Brothers, Atlantic Records, and many more. In 1992 Swann moved to Greenville, SC and brought his style of mixing to clubs such as The Roxie, Characters, Classics, and Classic Gold. In 1996 a new station came to town called 107.3 JAMZ, and at that time he was asked to do an old school mix show till 1997. He left for a brief time going to Club Millennium.

Returning to JAMZ in 2002 Swann was asked to go live from the Club 107 Live at Remingtons. Since then it has been show after show and club after club. Now Swann does the 7 O'clock Mix Show Monday thru Friday and on Friday nights. The Friday Night Mix Show is from 10pm till 2am. He's The Man! THE GREENVILLE TIMES.
