In an effort to best serve our customers, we have implemented a new online appointment system.
As of April 6, 2020, all South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles (SCDMV) customers who want to conduct transactions in person will need to schedule an appointment before they arrive. To view changes in operations, as well as information on SCDMV extensions for driver’s licenses, vehicle registrations, and other agency-related products, click here.
You will be able to schedule appointments up to two weeks in advance. No appointments are available for more than two weeks in the future. It is the agency’s goal to maximize your time so that you do not spend hours waiting at an SCDMV branch. You can book a vehicle, driver, REAL ID, or ADA appointment via the appointment scheduler.
